Construction Update - March 3, 2000
The bricklayers have finished the south
and east walls of the multipurpose room, and they are
now working on the west wall of the multipurpose room
and the link. On March 2nd the ironworkers began setting
the roof joists for Stewart Hall and the multipurpose
room. The roof decking will be installed in two weeks.
Continued progress is being made on the plumbing as
well as the HVAC work. The doors and doorframes have
been ordered and will arrive on site in a week. A sub-committee
of the building committee was formed and made selections
for the carpeting, vinyl tile for Stewart Hall, ceramic
tile for the bathrooms, and wall colors.
Now that the roofs will be completed soon,
the work activity will really pick up. We are a little
behind schedule but will complete well before the fall
programs begin. This is an exciting time in the life
of our church, and the Session is working hard developing
plans on various ways to use our new facility to meet
the growing needs of our congregation and enhance the
mission of the church.

project as well as the graphic of the Celebration Garden

as church goals, but now part of our church history.
