Construction Update - March 20,
2000
The floor for the new Stewart Hall addition
has been poured, and the roof joists have been placed.
In addition to the metal decking, all the support steel
has been placed for the new movable partitions. The
interior brick work for the upper level of Stewart Hall
will begin soon. The roof joists for the Ministry Center
and the link have been placed and the metal decking
installed. The installation of the fire suppression
system for the entire new addition is underway.
The plumbers and the electricians are
making good progress as well as the work on the heating
and air conditioning systems. This week they will
begin installing the ductwork for the air conditioning
system for the sanctuary.
The steel supports for the new southeast
entrance will be delivered this week, and work will
begin erecting this structure with the brickwork to
follow. The exterior brick is being cleaned in preparation
for the installation of the windows.
Ragnar Benson has assured us that we
are still on target for final completion of the new
facility on or before September 1st. Dedication could
occur on Start Up Sunday, September 10th.
