Construction Photo Update - September 30 - October
1, 2000
| Our new section was used for the first time on
Saturday, September 30, 2000, for the Presbyterian
Women's Brain and Body Blast, a day-long learning
event with a variety of mini-classes including such
topics as quilting, meditation, gardening, and writing.
Our new parking lot was used for two training sessions
on car care. |
| On Sunday, October 1, 2000, members left church
services for the first time through our new wing
after the 7:45 a.m. service. Above, Doug Brouwer
greets people as they leave through the new doorway
from the sanctuary for the first time and move
through the spacious open area towards the parking
lot.
Below, people are exiting
through the new entrance to the parking lot. On
the right, you can see Mary Louise (Scottie) Houliston,
a member of First Presbyterian since 1925, in
front of the sign. She enjoys walking to and from
church for the 7:45 a.m. service every Sunday.

The periodic updates done during the construction/church's
construction project as well as the graphic of the Celebration
Garden and additional information about it are online,
no longer as construction/church goals, but now part
of our construction/church history.
