Construction Update - November 22, 1999
Here's an update on the building progress.
To date all the footings have been poured for the entire
building, and many exterior as well as interior walls
are complete up to the second floor. We have placed
346 yards of concrete so far--that's over 43 truckloads.
The new memorial garden is taking shape
with the retaining walls complete. The underground storm
water and footing drainage system is nearly complete,
and much of the plumbing pipe for Stewart Hall has been
placed.
We are making good progress thanks to
the great weather. However due to some early problems
during the demolition phase we are still about 2 weeks
behind although the competition date remains the same
-- August 1, 2000. Let's hope for continuing good weather
and a mild winter.
