Construction Update - December 20, 1999
The masonry walls are all up to the first level, and
the precast has been set for the Stewart Hall addition.
The remainder of the precast will be set by the end
of the month. The classrooms and the bathrooms in lower
Stewart hall have been poured as well as the hall. The
remainder of the floors will be poured this week. To
date 417 yards of concrete have been laid. Electric,
plumbing, and HVAC work is ongoing. The construction
work just north of the Parish House is for a new Comed
transformer to serve the new facility.
Today they removed walls below the sanctuary to begin
work on the lower level connection to the new addition.
The memorial garden will be completed next year. Beginning
in January we will enclose with plastic the walls
around the Stewart Hall addition so that the masons
can complete their work during the bad weather. The
roof trusts are scheduled to be set in early February.
