Opportunities for Supporting Ministry

Annual Giving
Estimated and spontaneous giving to the core ministry of First Pres provide the primary financial support for day to day ministry and operational costs.

Designated Giving
Designated gifts provide a way for you to make special gifts for a specific ministry or program.

Capital Fund 
This helps meet First Presbyterian's needs for new or renovated building space or major facilities (like our aging organ) to support our growing ministries.

Special Offerings
The special offerings listed below provide essential funding for First Pres ministries and programs. Many opportunities for mission, ministry and growth would not be possible without the additional support these offerings bring:

• Per Capita Offering is requested at the beginning of each year to support Presbytery operations and initiatives.  This is an amount the church is required to pay per member.
• The One Great Hour of Sharing offering is taken on Palm Sunday every year in support of emergency and disaster relief and efforts to help the poor and needy.
• End the Year with a Closing Gift is our end of the year offering taken in December to enable First Pres to complete the year with a balanced budget.  Check your November 30th statement.

Time and Talent
There are numerous opportunities to dip your toe or jump with both feet into church ministry and mission outreach initiatives.
