Faith Builders Hybrid
Wednesday Evenings - April 6 - May 11, 2011
Join us on Wednesday evenings from April 6 through May 11 for our intergenerational faith enrichment program. We will explore the Holy Spirit via book, video, and the accompanying workbook by Francis Chan.
In his book Forgotten God Francis Chan contends that we have ignored the Holy Spirit for far too long, and that without Him, we operate in our own strength, only accomplishing human-sized results. He tells us that it’s time for the beloved church of Jesus Christ to reverse the trend of neglect and to pursue the Spirit-filled life of effectiveness that God desires and we desire.

A new hybrid version of our popular Wednesday Evening Faithbuilders Program, this time run by church volunteers rather than staff, will be held this spring; and your help is needed! The program is designed for people of middle school age through adults. No child care or program for younger children is available (unless we get volunteers to do childcare). Can you help with setup and/or clean up one or more weeks? Please email Denny Lawson if you can help - dennylawson@hotmail.com.

Attendees are being asked to provide a dish to share (Last names - A-K: salad, L-S: side dish, or T-Z: dessert), or they can specify their choice when registering. Denny Lawson will be doing his amazing grilling once again, and meat is included in the charge to each participant. The weekly menu is below.

Francis Chan is the former senior pastor of Cornerstone Community Church. He is the founder of Eternity Bible College and sits on the board of Children’s Hunger Fund. His first book Crazy Love has sold 600,000 copies and is published in over ten languages. Francis and his family make their home in southern California.
Registration:
Please complete your reservations using our secure online form. We need a good head count when ordering the meat and materials. We encourage you to include in your reservation group neighbors and friends who do not have access to the internet. Study materials will be emailed by Denny Lawson no later than the Sunday before each class, so we need a valid email address where each participant can receive these. You can reserve your spot for all seven classes at the same time, but we need all reservations by the Sunday night prior to each class. Should you need to cancel your reservation for a class, just email Denny Lawson. The cost for meat and study materials is only $5 per participant per class for those who make reservations (payable at the door). For those who do not make reservations, the cost is $10 per participant per class.
You can also register by emailing Denny Lawson showing the names, phone numbers, email addresses, and type of side dishes being brought for each Wednesday for your group(s).
If you must arrive too late for dinner, you can use the secure online registration form just showing No Meal in place of the type of food you would be bringing, or you can email Denny Lawson showing Registration - Class Only/No Meal. Include the names, phone numbers, and email addresses of those in the group. The cost for emailed study materials will be only $2 per participant per class (payable at the door). Note that the entire program (dinner, music, and study) will all be in Stewart Hall.
