Our church is fortunate to have two libraries, both located in the
Parish House.
The Nan Montgomerie Library on the first floor contains
materials for adults. The goal is to have books that tie in
with religious education classes. Topics in Bible studies, adult
education programs, and sermons are considered when selecting new
adult titles. There are a variety of Bible study helps (such as the
Anchor Bible and the Westminister Bible Companion), biographies,
current books on religion, popular religious fiction, and videos.
Titles for the Christ Care groups and the Stephen Ministry are also available. In addition, there is a collection of sermons on CD, as well as
DVDs of many special services and events.
The Library for Children is on the lower level. Bible
stories, books on prayer and seasonal celebrations, picture books,
fiction for older children, videos, DVDs, and CDs can all be found here. We have
lists of the children classics that have won such awards as the
Newbery,
Caldecott,
and Rebecca Caudill prizes.
Books can be borrowed during most times that the Parish House is
open, including many evenings and weekends.
