First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton is seeking a part-time or a full-time Coordinator of High School Youth Ministry. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for youth; be able to work in a team ministry environment communicating effectively with youth, parents, adult and youth leaders, and other church staff; be compassionate and grace-filled; committed to Reformed Theology; and demonstrate a servant leadership lifestyle. The candidate must also possess proven skills in the areas of administrative organization, leadership development, planning, meeting deadlines, and teaching. The job is available now.
Responsibilities include:
1. Providing leadership for the church's Westminster Fellowship(WF) Program grades 9-12.
2. Developing curriculum with WF and adult leaders.
3. Organizing a fund raising project for the June Mission Trip.
4. Organizing the June Mission Trip.
5. Organizing Youth Sunday worship.
6. Overseeing the Confirmand Class.
7. April Confirmand Retreat-Program and curriculum.
8. Assuming other duties as assigned by the Pastor.
Relationships:
The Coordinator of High School Ministry is:
-accountable to the Pastor
-a member of the Program Staff
-the staff liaison to the WF Leadership Team.
