to CHCF – Coffee House College Fellowship
CHCF is a new ministry program designed for the 18 - 25
year old group that was begun during the summer of 2007 where
graduating high school seniors and all college-age folks are
welcome. This is not limited to First Pres; friends are invited
too! |
| ALL COLLEGE STUDENTS ARE INVITED to join WF on Sunday,
January 6, 2008, at 6:00 p.m. here at the church. Please
come and join us for a time of fellowship and worship. |

We are still looking for prayer partners for our college-age
students. There are still a number of students whom
we have not been able to pair up with a partner. If you
are interested in being a prayer partner and would like some
additional information, please contact Sue Massaro at smassaro@sbcglobal.net.
CHCF did not end when school started. We are staying
connected with those who have left our church community to pursue
their academics. Some events discussed to reconnect
over holiday breaks are Wear your Ugliest Holiday Sweater Christmas
Party, Open Mic night, After Christmas grab bag, and of course,
Coffee and Worship.
It is also an exciting time of year for CHCF as we welcome new
students into our community through the local colleges. The
CHCF leadership team is busy investigating how to reach out to
the local college students and offer them spiritual fellowship. We
are currently working on communications to the schools, events
to connect with the students, and postings on our facebook page.

| What Is CHCF?
CHCF is a time for fellowship. Our
hope was that it would be a great way for us to reach out to
all of you and for you to keep in touch with us. We are
also here to enrich our friendships, for maintaining a strong
faith can sometimes be tedious without close friends to confide
in. CHCF is also here for food;
and no not just food to fill our stomachs (even though that is
a great thing), but for spiritual nourishment that will help
us live our lives with the energy of God. |
CHCF is a time for worship. First
and foremost we gather to enrich our faith in GOD, embracing
the fact that his son died for our sins, allowing us to live
forever in his kingdom. Music is very much a part of our
worship experience. |

| CHCF is a secure place for open discussions, including small
group discussions, not to be judged but to help find answers
to questions. |

Guided meditation is sometimes offered as a way to quiet ourselves
and get reconnected with God. |

Why CHCF? The idea came from
all of you, ok, and from God! Many of you like to hang
out in coffee shops and talk; why not do the same as a fellowship
opportunity right here at church?
