Your one-stop shop for fun, fellowship, and entertainment this year!

RED CARPET FELLOWSHIP TRIPS are designed to provide fellowship opportunities through travel experience close to home or far-away. Costs are kept to absolute minimum to help make these adventures affordable. Previous trips include Lincoln Museum-Springfield; Ireland; Scotland, Chicago House of Blues Gospel Brunch; Chicago Houses of Worship; and Lake Michigan Circle Tour.

Feel free to invite friends, neighbors, co-workers, relatives. They do not need to be a member of our church, or even Presbyterian.

Attends a Concert Version of
Madame Butterfly

McAninch Arts Center

We will be attending the concert version of Madame Butterfly at the McAninch Arts Center. The evening is planned as follows:

7 pm -- Pre--Concert lecture -- Dr. Steve Pierson, Instructor of Music, Wheaton College
-- Room behind the box office

(The lecture is optional but is included in the price of the tickets. You can skip it and head straight for the concert at 8 pm.)
8 pm -- Performance

(Please be aware that in a "concert performance" there are not all the bells and whistles of staging and scenery. At our concert, singers will be in costume and singing the full version of the opera).
Post Performance we will gather in the lobby for cookies, a group photo and a visit with the conductor.

The price for each ticket that the Arts Center has afforded us is $34.00, a special rate. The Center is holding a block of tickets for those of us who are not season ticket holders and thus do not have assigned seats. Emily will be figuring out the logistics of seating, and plans to give you your tickets the week before the concert. She will be paying for the block of tickets within the next week and everyone is invited to write her a check or pay cash, whatever is convenient. Kirkin' O' the Tartans Dinner

THE KIRKIN’ O’ THE TARTANS DINNER: Many of ye regular visitors to our Sunday Services know that Sunday, February 12th, is our Kirkin' O' the Tartans worship service, but you have probably wondered why yer auld Uncle Fergus hasn’t provided a Supper for ye of Scottish history! Now, those of you who know your Scottish history, and all others, may partake in a Kirkin' O' the Tartans Supper.

Tickets will be on sale for a miserly $10 per plate between services every Sunday and in the church office during the week. Please contact Emily Schmitz (call or email) with any questions.
