The church and community will have access to Dave Cox's Career Transition Workshop
The
Career Transition Workshop, a program created by Dave Cox, executive coach
and professional career consultant, offers practical, down-to-earth principles
for those who are looking for a new job or considering a change, all within
the context of our Christian faith. Among the topics covered in the
curriculum are assessing skills and talents, understanding God’s will
in our lives, developing effective résumés or “handbills”and
sharpening networking skills. The program is open to the community,
and there is no fee; however, a $25 donation to cover the cost of the workbook
and handouts is appreciated. While the content of each class is interrelated,
it is not necessary to attend all the classes to benefit; attendees
can join the group at any time and obtain handouts from previous sessions.
This 8-week course will give you practical information integrated with scriptural insight to help you in your gifts assessment, job search, and career planning. It is designed by Dave Cox, a professional career consultant.
What you will learn:
- How to assess your strengths, skill, talents, personality, values, interests, and spiritual gifts as a part of your job search strategy
- How to proactively integrate your spiritual goals and career planning
- How to develop an effective resume to more effectively market your talents
- How to network
- How to use technology and the internet to assist you in finding a job
When can I attend?
Contact Angela Stephenson as noted at the top of the page for the latest update on Dave Cox's session schedule.
