CaritasTeam
Ministry
The mission of our CaritasTeam Ministry is
one of care and compassion for individuals in
need of help, using a team approach. The name
was changed from Care Team Ministry in May 2004
due to copyright restrictions. Caritas is a
latin word which means "charity".
The greek word means "giving of the heart."
There is a latin phrase "Ubi Caritas et
amor deus ebi" which means "Where
there is loving care, there also is God."
During the past few years we have seen the growth and impact
of this ministry as it has touched many lives. We have expanded
the services to include a team to visit those in a nursing home
and a helping hands team to assist with jobs in the home.

What is a CaritasTeam?
A CaritasTeam is a group of volunteers working
together to provide practical, emotional, and
spiritual support to individuals and families
with health concerns or other special needs.
What does a CaritasTeam do?
A team’s activities may include transportation
to the doctor or grocery story, household or
yard chores. Some people enjoy running errands,
preparing meals, or providing social outings.
Others prefer to visit, make phone calls, or
provide a break for caregivers. Team members
simply do what they enjoy doing for others,
when they are able, in an organized way with
a built-in support system.
 |
| Each CaritasTeam has a 59-minute
meeting to update the team activity,
educate the team, and plan the team's
schedule. |
