The following are some suggestions for individual volunteers in this Mission. It will give You some ideas of our needs and how you may contribute and serve in this mission outreach as part of First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton, IL.

1. Do you have a special gift or interest you might share with someone?

2. If you have a couple of free hours sometime during the week, here are some ways we can use your help.

• Visit with a newly arriving refugee
• Tutor in ESL (English as a Second Language)
• Tutor a Citizenship applicant
• Write a letter or e-mail or call a legislator
• Help with mailings at the Exodus office in Bloomingdale
• Help with computer data entry; checking addresses; filing

3. How can your family or small group participate?

• Put a Welcome Pack together
• Meet with a refugee
• Become an Advocacy volunteer

4. Special skills and/or resources we currently need?

• Willingness to serve refugees
• Willingness to share yourself
• Willingness to have a life impacting experience
• Utilize your skills & interest in photography or videography
• Utilize your skills & interest in computer graphics or writing
