The following are some suggestions for individual volunteers in this Mission. It will give you some ideas of our needs and how you may contribute and serve in this mission outreach as part of First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton, IL.

1. Distribute food in Pantry one morning or afternoon a month
• takes 3 hours no more than once a month
• skills needed - a caring heart and the ability to pack bags of groceries
• Mon. or Wed. morning from 9:00 to 12:00 or
• Tues. or Thurs. afternoon from 12:00 to 3:00
2. Pick up food from Northern Ill. Food Bank or Aldi's and deliver to food pantry
• takes 2 hours once a month, or as often as once a week, if you desire
• skills needed - a strong back would help; retired men are ideal!
• van or truck may be helpful, depending on quantity to be picked up
• Tuesday mornings 8:00 to 10:00 AM; call Tom (below) or just show up at the pantry
3. Bring non-perishable food and/or grocery bags to the Pantry or to church
• Food Pantry Sunday is the second Sunday of the month, but if you forget, you can still drop food off in the Rotunda coat closet or the cloister.
• You can also make cash contributions in the form of a check made out to First Presbyterian Church, memo: Food Pantry.
