volunteers in this Mission. It will give you some ideas of our needs and how you
may contribute and serve in this mission outreach as part of First Presbyterian
Church of Wheaton, IL.

this service provides crisis counseling, referrals and information for victims
of sexual assault, friends and family members. (Training required)

crisis intervention to all DuPage County hospitals. Volunteers act as a liaison
between the victim, hospital staff and law enforcement personnel (Training

way through the police/legal/judicial processes. The volunteer offers crisis
intervention, explains legal procedures and interprets the victim's needs
to the authorities. (Training required)

elementary, junior high and high school students throughout DuPage County.

representatives from organizations that offer services to DuPage County's
Latino population. A reliable volunteer is needed to help prepare materials
for each meeting. Ability to speak Spanish is preferred, but not required.
- Outstanding Women Leaders of DuPage Luncheon - The largest fundraiser for
the YWCA DuPage District requires many volunteers in preparation for and during
the day of the event. Mailings, greeters, ushers, the raffle ticket sellers
are needed to make the day a success.
- Child Care - While women receive counseling services, the YWCA often offers
concurrent care for their children. Various locations and times require experienced
child care providers.
- Office Work - From time to time, the YWCA needs help with several office
tasks, including: mailings, typing, filing, data entry.
DO YOU HAVE TIME AND TALENT TO OFFER THE YWCA? If there is something special you
can offer to help local families, please call the YWCA! We serve more than 30,000
