After enjoying four days of weather in the 60's, we received our last significant snowstorm of the 2009-2010 winter on March 20, 2010, just in time for our annual Easter Craft Party and Egg Hunt. Although this required our egg hunt to be held in the Ministry Center rather than outside, the weather did not dampen the enthusiasm of any of the participants.
Children age 3 through grade 3 with a parent or grandparent had been invited to attend the party. Each child registering for the event was requested to bring one dozen plastic eggs, filled with surprises, to the church office by March 18; and each child who registered could hunt for a dozen eggs to take home.
The party began in Stewart Hall, where all the children enjoyed various craft projects. This was followed by cookies and juice. All the children then sat down together while Shelley Iliff gave a short inspirational talk about Easter and then explained the Easter egg hunt procedures.
All of the children found it very easy to find the eggs in the Ministry Center!
