Advent Festival
December 3, 2006

Christmas Around the World was the theme for the Advent Festival sponsored by Pathways, Adult Education Committee, held during the education hour in Stewart Hall on December 3, 2006.  Harold Crittenden (on the right) invited everyone to "join us in Stewart Hall for refreshments and merriment."

Below, "Merry Christmas" in numerous different languages was posted on the wall.  There was also a display of Swedish items on one table, with information about Santa Lucia, and bells with the sign giving permission to children in attendance to ring them.

Meanwhile, in Stewart Hall Rooms 106-107 the Genesis Breakfast was being held, giving our sixth through eighth grade students an opportunity for fellowship and celebration of the first Sunday of Advent.

Our annual Festival of Carols was held in the Sanctuary at both the 8:40 and 11:00 a.m. worship services on December 3, 2006, with no 7:30 a.m. service.  Therefore all the people attending either worship service were free to attend the Advent Festival between the services.
Our deacons served coffee and cookies.
