During the first three weeks of Advent, the Sunday school teachers presented a special “Advent Rotation” for the kindergarten, first, and second grade children.  This format provides a learning setting in which the same Bible story or theme is taught for several weeks.  Our little learners “rotated” to a different workshop station each week to encounter the story of Jesus’ birth in a variety of ways. 

The children had the opportunity to visit the Drama/Storytelling workshop, the Art/Games workshop, and the Audiovisual workshop.  The curriculum was based on Luke 2:8-20 – God speaks to the shepherds and announces that God’s promise is fulfilled in the Messiah.

Our children learned that God has a special role for everyone, including each of them.
