Catch the Spirit Sunday - September 7, 2008
|
September 7, 2008, Catch the Spirit Sunday, was a busy day at First Presbyterian
Church. We returned to our three-service schedule, with worship services
at 7:30, 8:40, and 11:00 a.m.,
and an Education
Hour from 9:55 to 10:50 a.m.
Sunday School classes began on September 7, and a Connections
Expo was held in the Ministry Center during the Education Hour. Adult
education classes will begin on September 14, 2008.
At the Connections Expo members of the committees and groups in
our church had displays highlighting their activities in the church and the
enjoyment that current participants are having in doing that work and providing an
opportunity to invite other members of the congregation to join them.
Our Centennial Celebration kickoff was our annual picnic organized
by our Deacons from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. that same afternoon, with fun, fellowship,
and, of course, food enjoyed by everyone.
