Christmas Concert - December 20, 2008

About 90 people braved bad weather to attend and enjoy our Centennial Christmas Concert, Let There Be Light, on Saturday, December 20, 2008.

The $5 tickets included desserts and beverages served by WF, our high school youth group, and a time of fellowship from 7:00 to 7:45 p.m. in a coffeehouse atmosphere in the Ministry Center.  The concert was a benefit for the June 2009 WF Mission Trip to Seminole, Oklahoma.

Attendees from all age groups then enjoyed the 45-minute concert, a wonderful mix of traditional and contemporary music organized by Sharon Urban.  The musicians included Sharon Urban (vocalist), Donna Beering (vocalist), Dan Spiegel (vocalist and keyboardist), Doug Boyd (vocalist and guitarist), Jon Boba (drums), and Paul Burgess (keyboardist).  Dave Beering ran the sound board and joined in the music for some traditional Christmas carols by playing his trumpet.

The program was a part of our church’s Centennial Celebration.
