Confirmation Retreat
April 13-15, 2007
“The Wall” is one of the most talked about
activities on the Confirmation retreat. It is 14 feet tall with
no handholds, and the goal is to get the entire group over. It
sounds hard, and it is; but every group manages to do it, and
this year, almost every person went over. This exercise built
teamwork and showed the importance of planning before just jumping
into action.

A lot of free time was planned into the weekend, which
gave everyone the opportunity to take advantage of whatever opportunities
appealed to him or her. Pictured activities are a swinging rope
bridge, Frisbee, card games, and a dance party. |

An ongoing tradition for the Confirmation
retreat is to paint wooden birdhouses. At the end of the weekend,
everybody signed each other’s birdhouse to serve as a lasting
reminder of the experiences on the retreat.
On Sunday morning, the Confirmands organized and led their
own worship service. Pictures from the drama are shown below.
