Congregational Meeting
and State of the Church Message
January 31, 2010

Our 2010 Annual Congregational Meeting was held in the Ministry Center during our education hour on Sunday,
January 31, 2010, and was very well attended.
Dr. Paul Kirbas opened the meeting verifying that a quorum was present and opening with prayer. Steve Van Oss, our Treasurer, opened the Corporation Meeting with prayer and presided over it. Mike Huesing presented our financial report for 2009; and the Annual Report for 2009, which can be viewed online, was approved.

Committee Moderator
Sue Rohl presented the nominees for the Elder Class of 2013: Cindy Bass, Anne Gaertner,
John Gassensmith, and Greg Oltman and for the Deacons Class of 2013: JoLynn Brown, Arlyne Clacher,
Pat Dettmer, Donna Estler,
Ed Fussner, Alan Konfirst,
Jeanne Kovanda, Kris Mast,
Kathryn Pinto, Dan Spiegel, and
Mark Stapleton. The nominees were all elected unanimously.
The five at-large members from the congregation nominated for the 2010 Congregational Nominating Committee were
Jean Crane, Robb Frank, Sue Hervey, Phil Slocum, and Robbie Spehr, all of whom were elected unanimously. The other members of the 2010 Nominating Committee will be
Kathy Hailman, Deacon;
Don Josephson, Elder; Craig Queen, Elder, and one additional member from the Board of Deacons.

Following the church budget discussion, Dr. Paul Kirbas presented his State of the Church address, "Yes, Dr. Einstein." He laid out the historical statistical data and suggested directions that the church should take It was very informative and well received.
