Genesis Mission Project - July 11, 2008
His Wheels International
|
Alice Teisen from His Wheels International had
given a presentation to our Middle Schoolers about this organization on Sunday,
May 4, 2008. On Friday morning, July 11, 2008, many Genesis youth went to Alice Teisen's backyard
to assist her in this ministry. They helped Alice clean up her yard, straighten up her garage, organize bikes, and work
on bikes.
His Wheels International is a bicycle service organization that assists
Christian mission organizations in providing bicycles and bicycle expertise in the
U.S. and throughout the world. Their website is at www.hiswheelsintl.org.
Anyone who has bikes to donate, space in DuPage County,
Illinois, to store bikes, or is able to help work on bikes on Friday mornings, is
requested to call Alice Teisan at 630-510-1005 or email her at info@hiswheelsintl.org for
further information.

| Our volunteers sorted and organized screws, washers, nails, and tiny
bike parts. They folded and put away tire tubes. |

| The middle schoolers also helped sort and put away bikes. Cleaning
up the back of Alice's house was a big project! |

Many of the volunteers learned how to grease bike chains. |

After their work was done, the Genesis members had a chance to try out the trike
designed by His Wheels, which was specially made for those unable to use their legs. |
Our thanks to Mary Kinsey for the photos!
