Reception for Katie Lindberg - May 15, 2005
| Hugs, memories, and some tears were
shared, along with cookies, breads, and
other treats, at the farewell reception
for Rev. Catherine Lindberg and her son,
Nick Cuneen, and husband, Chuck Lindberg,
in Stewart Hall on May 15, 2005.
As Coordinator of Pastoral Care at First Presbyterian since
September 1992, Katie has touched the hearts of virtually every
member of our church. We congratulate her on her new position
as Pastor / Head of Staff of St. John’s United Church, in Chesterton,
Indiana; but we will miss her!

our band, everyone in the room joined in singing a
tribute to Katie to the melody of "You Are My

You
are our sunshine, our Christian sunshine.
You made us peaceful, when we felt blue.
You always knew great words of comfort.
Christ seemed closer when we came to you.
You
taught the Bible on Monday morning.
In Stephen Min'stry you were the boss.
You led the Deacons and care team members,
As a group they'll experience a loss!
You
stood before us as our leader.
Without some notes you preached God's word,
And when we're hurting, the wholeness service
Was a place where our prayers could be heard.
You
kept us centered on things important,
And helped us care for one and all.
The legacy that you have left us
Will stay here as you take your next call.
With
Chuck and Nick now, you will be leaving
To head down Indiana way.
We all will miss you, be not mistaken,
Though you're gone, your sunshine will stay!
