New Church Logo and Vision
Barbary Coast Dixieland Band
Connections Expo
 |
Between the 8:40 and 11:00 a.m. worship services on September 12, 2010, our church continued to be a busy place! Members of the Barbary Coast Dixieland Band had CD's of their great music for sale in the Rotunda. This talented group of six musicians has been together since 1967 and has played all over the United States and even in Nagasaki, Japan.

Meanwhile, downstairs just outside the Ministry Center, our deacons were serving coffee and lemonade.
In the back hall downstairs outside another Ministry Center entrance, everyone had some difficult decisions to make about which of the delicious treats they wished to purchase from our Genesis Bake Sale. These home-baked items were only $1 each and sold rapidly. Proceeds go to the middle schoolers’ adopted daughter Scovia from Uganda, scholarships for retreats, BLAST, and chaperones.

| Children from age 2 through high school began their first classes of Sunday School for the program year during the education hour of 9:55 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. on September 12, with childcare available for those under 2. The adults attended our Connections Expo in the Ministry Center during this time. Members of many church committees and groups had tables set up with information and were ready to answer questions and help people learn how to use their gifts and talents and become more involved in the life of our church. |
