Operation Christmas Child
November 2010
|
During November 2010 LOGOS members collected items for “Operation Christmas Child” to share with
children in traumatic and
impoverished circumstances
in countries
around the world. A large box was set up in the
Rotunda so church members could donate items
such as crayons, drawing
paper, small toys,
toothbrushes, toothpaste,
t-shirts, and socks, as well as sturdy shoe boxes.
Operation Christmas Child is a program of Samaritan's Purse, a Christian relief and evangelism organization led by Franklin Graham. The mission of this program is to is to demonstrate God's love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.

| Each LOGOS table group put together a Christmas gift in a shoe box to send, following the instructions on the Samaritan's Purse website and labeling each box
to show if it was for a boy or a girl and the age category of 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14. Our middle schoolers then took the filled Christmas boxes to the drop-off facility in West Chicago on November 17, 2010. |
