Our Senior Luncheon on April 26, 2012, included wonderful food, great fellowship, and an interesting presentation by Dr. Tony Payne, General Manager of the Artist Series at Wheaton College.

Many of the missions supported by our congregation had displays and representatives ready to share their organizations' goals, accomplishments, current needs, and ways people could get involved and share their time and talents at our Mission Fair on April 15, 2012.

Church members did an outstanding job presenting a drama of the "Living Last Supper" on Maundy Thursday, April 5, 2012

Our Men's Luncheon on February 21, 2012, featured Kirk Muspratt, Conductor of the College of DuPage New Philharmonic Orchestra.  The men and women in attendance enjoyed learning about some of the inner workings of this orchestra, which had provided the music at the "Madam Butterfly" opera we had attended.

Our Kirkin' o' the Tartans Worship Services, colorful and moving celebrations of the Scottish roots of our Presbyterian heritage including a procession of members carrying flags of their clans' tartans, bagpipers, drummers, and more, were enjoyed by everyone worshipping with us on Sunday, February 12, 2012.

Our Kirkin' o' the Tartans Dinner on Saturday, February 11, 2012, was a big success, with great food, fellowship, and terrific Scottish entertainment, including the Thistle and Heather Highland Dancers, a fascinating presentation by Wayne Rethford, President of the Scottish-American History Club, bagpipe music provided by Jim McCallum, and Scottish verses read by Peter Wilkie.

We celebrated Scout Sunday on February 5, 2012, with scouts participating in both worship services, providing information about their experiences and a large display in the rotunda, and serving their fantastic scout-made donuts following the 8:30 a.m. service.

Nearly four dozen First Pres members enjoyed seeing the opera "Madame Butterfly" at the McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage on Saturday, January 28, 2012, on a Red Carpet outing.

Representatives from our Saturday Morning Men's Group, First Light Collaborative, provided greetings and dinner for attendees at "The Bridge," a Mission USA ministry in the inner city, on Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 130 N. Keeler, Chicago.
