Southern Delights - August 18, 2007
Hospitality "Southern Style," plenty of delicious
food, and entertainment were enjoyed by the large crowd at First
Presbyterian's Supper Club gathering, Southern Delights, on August
18, 2007. |

Everyone was there for supper by 6:00 p.m.
|

First Presbyterian members and friends enjoy
a time of fellowship just before and during their supper. |

There was plenty of fried chicken, of course.
|
Food was passed around the table, "southern style."
|
|
Elaine and Roy Finley (above) came dressed as
a southern couple.
As everyone finished their delicious dinner,
the entertainment began.
Below, Denny Lawson, on the left, provided a bit of southern
levity. Ben Heaton, in the center, then taught everyone
some southern facts.
Others were helping clear tables and serve coffee
and desserts.

Desserts were lemon ice box pie, Karo nut pie bars, and watermelon. Our
supper club events are enjoyed by people of all ages. |

Kill a Mockingbird as if she were Scout. |
Lou Ann Jones, the organizer of our Southern Delights Supper,
led a songfest of songs about the south.

| The evening concluded with everyone singing some southern
songs accompanied by Doug Johnston on the piano. |
