Our third annual Supper Club's St. Patrick's Celebration
was another success, with about 100 attendees enjoying
a wonderful St. Pat's dinner featuring the typical
corned beef, cabbage, carrots, and potatoes. Green
River was the drink of choice. The food was plentiful,
and there was even enough left so we could offer it
for sale to help defray expenses.
The success of the
dinner was the result of the hard work of a committee
of 22 people . . . every activity from planning and
publicity to cleanup and all in between.
Jack Wilson told a few Irish jokes, and then
Debby and Denny Lawson led the group in singing some
great Irish songs. Paul Burgess accompanied
them.
After dessert the group retired to the Sanctuary
where Mike Sammer thrilled everyone with his wonderful
tenor rendition of Irish and Broadway songs. Once
again, Paul Burgess accompanied on the piano. |
