Jan Buscher - Business Administrator

Jan has lived most of her life in Glen Ellyn, and has been a life-long member of the First Presbyterian Church of Glen Ellyn.

After receiving a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas in 1976 and Master’s Degree in Social Work from George Williams College in 1982, Jan directed and administered a variety of programs and services for youth and families until 1992 when she decided to refocus her energies as an at-home mom.  In the seven years prior to coming to First Pres,  she worked part time for the PEP Foundation and as a substitute teacher.

Jan came to First Presbyterian as Church Administrator in the fall of 2003 and just recently earned her Fellow in Church Business Administration certification from the National Association of Church Business Administrators, and her Fellow in Presbyterian Church Business Administration from the Presbyterian Church Business Administrators Association.

While she has many off-duty activities to keep her busy, including singing on the praise team of FPGE, knitting, reading, playing golf, walking, and biking, she counts time spent with her two teens, Caitlyn and Brett, as the best.
