Mary Kinsey
Middle School Ministry Coordinator

Mary grew up in Aurora, Illinois, and was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church.  She graduated from West Aurora High School and went to DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana.  There she met her husband Dan, a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana.  Mary graduated from DePauw with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.  Mary taught second grade in Harvard, Illinois, until getting married and settling in Wheaton.  Mary then taught first grade for five years in Winfield until she and Dan started a family.  During this time Mary also earned her Masters degree in Reading from Northern Illinois University.

Dan and Mary joined First Pres in 1982.  Mary joined a circle and volunteered in many areas of the church, especially in children’s ministry.  She helped in VBS, Sunday School, and LOGOS until accepting the call for Middle School ministry in August of 2003.

Dan and Mary have four children, Bryan, David, Jonathan, and Natalie, and a Wheaten Terrier named "Bunker."
