Sunday
worship services through May 31 are at 7:30,
8:40, and 11:00
a.m. There are no adult education or Sunday School classes on May 24 or May 31. Visitors are
welcome, and childcare is available for both
the 8:40 and 11:00 services.
SUMMER AT FIRST PRES!! Summer worship services (June 7 through September 6) are at 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. Pathways Adult Education (through August 23) and Sunday School programs for children are both offered during our Education Hour from 9:10 to 9:50 a.m. Visitors are invited and welcomed to all, and child care is available for both services and during the Education Hour.

As shown in our church's Vision Statement,
we are called to be the body of Christ striving to celebrate God’s grace and
love, to be transformed by Christ’s love, and to extend the love of the Holy
Spirit to all.
Shalom Vesper Services have been held in the Chapel
at 5:00 p.m. on the third Sunday of each month. Our last Shalom Vesper Service was on Sunday, May 17, 2009. NO SHALOM VESPER SERVICES ARE SCHEDULED FOR THE SUMMER. We expect to resume these services in the fall.
Our next Taizé Prayer Service will
be held on Friday, June 12, 2009, at 7:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary
here at First Presbyterian Church. These are normally held on the second Friday of each month. NO TAIZE PRAYER SERVICE IS SCHEDULED FOR JULY 2009, but we will resume these services on the second Friday of the month beginning Friday, August 14, 2009, at 7:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
Our worship schedule includes a variety of worship styles.
Following our Mission Vision Study it became very apparent that we have a congregation
that is united in their Christian faith but diverse in their preference for expressing
that faith.
The Heritage
Service
For those who treasure an experience rich in heritage
and heartfelt contemplation. Liturgy steeped in tradition, and selections from the
hymnal with lush organ and piano accompaniment, highlight this 45-minute
service. A classic approach to worship. Sundays in the Chapel at 7:30 a.m. from September through
May.
The Tapestry
Service
A fluid fabric of worship woven from the unique strands
of memorable hymns and liturgy, and the new classics in Christian music. Westminster
Choir and a meld of ensembles and instrumentation thread their way through the loom
of the Presbyterian Order of Worship. Tradition with a twist. Sundays in the Sanctuary at
8:40 and 11:00 a.m.
The
Celebration Service
A joyous outpouring of Christian faith
through modern themes. Art, drama, music, prayer, praise: a cornucopia of ways to
contemplate, convey, and celebrate our beliefs. Normally in the Ministry
Center the second Sunday of each month at 11:00 a.m. This service is in
lieu of the 11:00 Tapestry Service that week.
